Areas known as Business Bay or Downtown, is the new central business district of Dubai. This area is home to the worlds tallest building (Burj Dubai) and the world's largest mall (Dubai Mall). Here you will find the awesome new business and residential buildings mixed in with areas such as the Old Town, a low rise Arabic themed areas that provide walkways and wonderful traditional style souks (bazaars and shops).
There is a plethora of dining, shopping, cafe's with specatcular views, souks. The Dubai Mall in itself is an attraction not only for its incredible shopping options but also for having the world's largest aquarium and full sized olympic ice rink. For those who like their bars, there are plenty of English pubs and Aussie bars on offer in the nearby hotels as well as swish modern bars.
This location is ideal if you also wish to explore the old side of Dubai as it is only 10 minutes to the creek in one direction. The Palm and the Marina are only 15 mins in the other direction. The apartments here are of very high quality. While there is construction, the completed areas are largely unaffected due to the phased construction of areas. All in all, this area is superb area offering luxury accommodation, centrally location and plenty of retail and dining options. There are many 5 star hotels in the vicinity offering excellent dining and night life options.
